Who Is "RapideaverThemes.com"

"RapidWeaverThemes.com" was started as a 3rd party theme development in 2004. In the early days "RWT" specialized in creating literally dozens of themes for a wide variety of uses as well as developing "Flash" themes for RapidWeaver.
Over time (and with the introduction of RapidWeaver 3.6) RWT moved away from specialized themes to a broader, more general purpose theme. RWT stopped development of flash based RapidWeaver themes in 2006.
In 2008, RWT began to focus on developing "premium" themes for RapidWeaver that offered a large array of variations and included snippets, javascript, and later stacks.
By 2010 RWT had expanded into several areas that exceeded the boundaries of "RapidWeaver theme development" and the need to consolidate became more apparent. The search for a new name and domain was underway.

Why Is There A Limit On The Number Of Times I Can Download A Product?

Most theme developers place a limit as to the number of times an item may be downloaded after purchase. This is done to prevent the abuse of modifying and redistributing themes.
When you purchase a digital product like a theme it becomes your responsibility to make a backup of that product for future use or incase of hard drive failure.

Updates are always free and will be accompanied with a fresh download link.

Do You Do Custom Themes or Designs?

Sometimes. Doing custom theme work in the past has proven to be either feast or famine. There are occasions when I will consider custom theme work but I charge a premium for this service and I am particular about the custom projects that I accept.

How Do You Modify A Theme?

Find the theme you want to modify in the theme drawer and "right" click on it and then click on "Reveal Contents In Finder". This will reveal the contents of the theme. All of the files you find in this folder are important and serve a purpose. ONLY modify what you feel comfortable with modifying.

NOTE: Modifying a theme will nearly always void a developers obligation to support the theme. Theme modification can be fun but it can also be frustrating, especially for the beginner. I highly recommend that a copy of the original theme be made prior to doing any modifications.

Do You Support IE6?

Now that Internet Explorer 9 is out and usage of Internet Explorer 6 has fallen to below 10% and considering that nearly all of the high profile sites on the web have dropped support for IE6 I see no reason why I should continue to support IE6.
My recommendation for Windows users to upgrade to one of the newer versions of Internet Explorer ... either IE8 or IE9. We will continue to support IE7 until its market share falls below 10%.

What Is The Difference Between A Slice & A Stack?

A "slice" is a term that is sometimes used instead of the word "stack". They both are referring to "miniature" plugin that can only be used when using the "Stacks" plugin from Yourhead.com.
Here is an outline to help yo understand:

RAPIDWEAVER - The main application

↳Plugins (or Page Styles) - These are the different page styles available. (Blog, Contact, Photo, Stacks, Accordion, Sitemap, etc ... ) RapidWeaver comes with several page styles included, but there are a number of 3rd party page styles that greatly enhance the ability of RapidWeaver. Stacks, is one of these plugins.

↳stacks (or slices) - miniature plugins that only work with the Stacks plugin

↳Themes - These are sort of like "templates". They provide the overall appearance of the web page. Themes are made up of html, css, and javascript. As a general rule all themes will work with all plugins. There may be an instance where a particular theme does not work well with a particular plugin but these types of problems are usually spotted and corrected in a theme update fairly quickly.

Why The Name Change?

The name change came about as a result of me wanting to streamline my workflow. Since "RapidWeaverThemes.com" and "SandvoxWebDesigns.com" were specific to a particular application I could not use either of these name without causing a lot of confusion for one user group or the other.
Changing names allows me to bring both product lines under the same brand name. Ultimately, this will save me time and money, but mostly time.

SandvoxWebDesigns.com was started in 2006 with a primary goal of providing simple and clean designs for Sandvox.
